I have only two comments here

I have only two comments here related to "Basing the foundation of your Business Architecture on value streams rather than functions is the solution. The customer sees the result of a value stream, not of a function. " 1. "Basing the foundation of your Business Architecture on value streams rather than functions is the solution" - absolutely agree - this is not about architecture but about the architecture implementation. 2. "The customer sees the result of a value stream, not of a function " - these results are known as a Real World Effect. However, the customer asks for the execution of the function, which produces required Real World Effect. No function, no Real World Effect. How the Real World Effect is produced - using this or that Value Stream is immaterial to the customer. Again, a customer in interested only what should be done (function) and the results of this doing. (see OASIS SOA standards)
